CAMP KINSER, Okinawa — Runners wanting to participate in the 14th annual Camp Kinser One-half Marathon have until Tuesday to register.

The Nov. 9 race begins at 8 a.m. from the Kinser Fitness Center.

Participants must register by Tuesday at any Marine Corps Community Services athletic office. The race is open to any island resident.

The fee is $15, or 1,800 yen, in advance and $20 (2,400 yen) the day of the event.

T-shirts will be presented to the first 400 participants.

Triathlon registration

CAMP HANSEN, Okinawa — Registration for the Hansen/Kin triathlon continues through Nov. 12 at any Marine Corps Community Services athletic office.

The 750-meter swim, 7K run and 21K bike event is set for Nov. 16. The cost is $20 in advance and $25 on site from 6:30-7:30 a.m. the day of the event. All island residents are eligible to compete.

The entry fee includes a buffet brunch at The Palms immediately after the race.

Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each age division and category; the first 100 participants receive free T-shirts.
