Ramstein pushed across two second-half touchdowns Saturday to end an uncharacteristic two-game losing streak and eliminate Lakenheath from the playoffs with a come-from-behind 12-6 victory at RAF Lakenheath, England.
Tyler Shoury, who carried 11 times for 69 yards, ran for a first-quarter TD for Lakenheath. But Ramstein (2-2 overall, 1-0 in Division I-North) broke Will Canfield and Nick Nixon loose for second-half TD runs, according to Lakenheath coach Matt Martinez. Martinez said Canfield carried 22 times for 122 yards, 107 in the second half.
Lancer QB Alex Federinko completed 5 of 10 passes for 69 yards and rushed 14 times for 51 yards. Shoury, Sean Gresham and Jeff Griffis each had nine tackles for Lakenheath (1-3, 0-2).
Ramstein next plays host to Patch in a nonconference game before going to Kaiserslautern on Oct. 18 in a showdown for the I-North title and home field in the D-I semifinals the next Saturday.

Heidelberg 66, Patch 0: At Stuttgart, the Lions (3-1, 1-0 in Division I-South) forced six turnovers for a 44-0 halftime edge and the Division I-South lead.
Alex Savusa got the parade started on the Panthers’ first possession when he stripped the ball from Patch quarterback Justin Phelps and returned it 15 yards for a TD. Savusa also set up Heidelberg’s third TD, an 8-yard run by Chris Frazier, when he recovered a Patch bobble on the Panthers’ 31 later in the quarter.
Frazier scored three TDs in a game that proceeded swiftly with a running clock in the second half. He returned a pass interception 59 yards for his team’s second TD, and ran in from 2 yards out near the end of the half.
Kyle Ulses ran 4 yards for a first-half TD and returned a pass interception 38 yards for the Lions’ final TD of the half.
Heidelberg turned things over to its reserves after intermission against Patch (0-4, 0-1). Joshua Walker ran for two TDs and Xavier Moore for one.
Kaiserslautern 28, SHAPE 14: At SHAPE, Belgium, Mateo Gazzale threw a fourth-quarter TD pass to Dominique Avery and ran for a score moments later as the D-I Red Raiders rallied past the D-II SHAPE Spartans.
Kaiserslautern (3-1) took a 7-0 lead in the second quarter on Josh Fry’s 20-yard TD pass to Jamil McGinnis, only to see SHAPE (1-3) go ahead on a 7-yard scoring pass from Jimmy Drago to Mitchell Goff and a 30-yard TD strike to Kewin Nielsen. Khairi Smith, who had 140 yards on 13 carries, ran 30 yards for a 14-14 tie after three quarters and set the stage for Gazzale’s heroics.
Russell Bryan, who rushed four times for 65 yards, had two interceptions for K-town, which got 13 tackles from Chris Velasquez and 12 tackles from Mick Clarke.
Christian Walker carried 10 times for 75 yards for SHAPE. The Spartans were led by three tackles for losses by Jerome Gamboa and an interception by David Peterson.
Vilseck idled: The unbeaten Falcons did not play Saturday after the Amsterdam Panthers canceled their trip to Vilseck.
