STUTTGART, Germany – All-Europe junior guard Janelle Loney and her senior teammate Bianca Lopez combined to shred the Vilseck defense Friday and Saturday and help the Lady Panthers collect 62-18 and 52-37 Region III victories over the Lady Falcons.

Loney scored 33 points in Friday’s romp, supplementing her scoring production with six assists and four rebounds. Lopez added 22 points and eight assists, and the Patch defense limited Vilseck – whose top scorer, Thea Dunn, managed just six points all game long – to just two points in the first period.

Saturday, Dunn upped her output to 11 points, and her teammate Jamilla Harvey accounted for 10 points, but the Lady Falcons again had no answer for Loney (25 points, six rebounds) and Lopez (13 points, three rebounds).

The sweep of the games originally scheduled for Jan. 21-22 left the Lady Panthers with regional and overall marks of 3-1 going into this week’s regional games at Bamberg.

Vilseck fell to 0-4 overall and in conference play. The Lady Falcons are unscheduled this weekend.
