STUTTGART, Germany – The Patch Panthers made the most of a post-holiday rescheduling by downing the Vilseck Falcons twice in the only regional match-ups on the opening of the 2011 portion of the DODDS-Europe winter schedule.

On Friday, the Panthers, behind double-foigure scoring from Shaquille Hunter (18 points), Justin Johnson-Rich (14) and Dylan Measells (10) prevailed 53-40. Saturday, Measells broke loose for 22 points and six rebounds in a 59-40 triumph that elevated the Panthers to a 2-0 Region III mark and evened their overall record at 2-2.

Patch led just 22-19 at halftime on Saturday, but the Panthers mounted a 26-4 third-quarter run to put the game away.

Vilseck (0-4 overall and in Region III) got 20 points on Friday and 12 points on Saturday from Daniel Arroyo.
