Given the chance to host the Kanto Kup softball tournament, Camp Zama’s Ramblers made the most of it.

They downed perennial tournament power Yokota 26-17 in the championship game at Zama’s Rambler Field. The tournament was played there this year with Yokota Park on the base’s east side, the place where the tournament was born, undergoing renovation this year.

The field was comprised primarily of Kanto Plain-based teams, but also included regular entrant Misawa. Finishing behind Yokota were Yokosuka Naval Base, Misawa Air Base, Naval Air Facility Atsugi and Camp Fuji.
