Carl Williams ran 62 yards for the touchdown that put Foster ahead for keeps, and the Bulldogs got in the win column by edging Kinser 20-19 on Saturday during Week 2 of the U.S. Forces Japan-American Football League season.
Defending champion Kadena (2-0) remained on top of the league with its second straight shutout win, 39-0 over last-place Hansen (0-2). Foster and Kinser are second at 1-1.
In addition to rushing for 112 yards, Williams had three catches for 33 yards plus a 60-yard kick return for a touchdown. Paul Shaver was 4-for-7 for 37 yards and ran three times for 20 yards plus a touchdown for the Bulldogs.
Defense helped keep the Bulldogs in it. Tyler Culp had 2½ sacks and two tackles for losses, Joshua Moore had an interception, Steven Jenkins three tackles for losses and Derek Williams two sacks.
Kinser lost despite a strong performance by quarterback Dallas Sargeant, 10-for-15 for 174 yards and a touchdown and 60 yards rushing.
Devante Tiller caught a 25-yard touchdown pass, then forced a fumble and recovered it for a touchdown on defense. DeQuan Clark had 57 receiving yards and 39 rushing yards.
Jathan Sales had two sacks plus 68 yards total offense. Abrian Favors returned a punt 20 yards for a touchdown and forced a fumble. Theo Bush had an interception and Cody Walker and Derek Webb each had two sacks, Walker also recovering a fumble.
For the defending champion Dragons, the big play was an 80-yard kick-return touchdown by Mack Nicholas. Kaleb Smith had six tackles and 35 yards total offense on 10 touches for the Wolfpack.
