KADENA AIR BASE, Okinawa – William Lane tossed a pair of touchdown passes and Foster won its second straight game, holding off a late Hansen rally for a 30-28 win Saturday at Kadena’s McDonald Stadium.
The win upped the Bulldogs’ record to 2-1, tied for second with Kadena and each a half-game behind Kinser (2-0) atop the U.S. Forces Japan-American Football League’s South Division. Hansen fell to 0-4.
Lane threw 20 yards to Kyle Brown for a TD and hit Emile Grey from 8 yards out. Carl Williams ran 22 yards for a score and linebacker Jeff Jones ran back an interception 60 yards for a TD and had two sacks.
That performance offset that of the Wolf Pack’s Jay McCray, who ran 20 yards for a touchdown, threw a 40-yard TD pass to Lawrence Johnson II and picked off three passes and recovered a fumble.
Dyezelle Hooper threw 28 yards to Marquis Pough for a score and Mario Gallon blocked a punt and covered it for a touchdown.
