Last week: Played a pivotal role at middle blocker in leading the Dragons to straight-set victories over Okinawa Christian International and Kadena, running Kubasaki’s record against Okinawa Activities Council opposition to 6-0, its best start in three seasons.
Falco, a junior, recorded nine spike kills and nine service aces on Oct. 1 as the Dragons swept the Crusaders 25-13, 25-10, 25-18 at the Dragons’ Den. Two days later, during Kadena’s homecoming week, Falco registered 11 kills to power Kubasaki past the Panthers 25-19, 25-12, 25-19.
Coach Chris Kelly spotted her during basketball season two years ago and wanted to make a spiker out of her. "She has a sports IQ that is off the chart," he said. "It permits her to pick up any sport and be successful. She’s coachable, she’s bright and she works as hard as anyone."

Last week: Accounted for 293 all-purpose yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions as the Panthers (5-1) won 49-12 at Zama American on Friday and captured their 10th straight Kanto Plain Association of Secondary Schools championship in coach Tim Pujol’s 10 seasons.
Harvin, a junior quarterback, defensive back and return specialist, went 7-for-11 for 179 yards, including TD passes of 20 and 8 yards to Andy Silva and 43 to Rainey Daley. He had five returns for 100 yards, three of the returns on the interceptions.
"He’s a playmaker. That’s the bottom line," Pujol said. "He’s the kind of guy who will take a bad situation and turn it into gold. He can make a play when there’s nothing there. This year, he’s shown a lot more maturity and understanding of his role."
