SINGAPORE – Jeff Scott ran for two second-quarter touchdowns and Josh Dawe also scored twice, sparking a rally from a first-quarter deficit as the Singapore Falcons All-Stars romped 39-13 over Osan American on Friday at Singapore American School.

Andrew Roberts went 12-for-18 for 205 yards and Dennis Chan had seven tackles in the backfield for Singapore in the latest installment of the long-running Korea-Singapore exchange games. Singapore lost 33-0 at Kubasaki last week in its second such game against Okinawa teams.

“This is a great exchange,” longtime Singapore coach Jamie Matisin said of the cooperative between the Falcons and DODDS school teams. “It’s good for both our programs to do it. We just hope it continues.”

Using a spread and a power I offense alternately throughout the contest, the Falcons generated long drives that ended in touchdowns such as the short burst by Erik Van Tilberg and also used quick strikes such as the 54-yarder from Roberts to Richard Vargo.

“Dawe and Scott ran the ball very well,” Matisin said. “Credit to the offensive line; they did a really good job tonight.”

Matt Conklin had one of three Singapore interceptions to set up Singapore’s final touchdown. The Falcons also recovered three Cougars fumbles deep in Singapore territory.

The Cougars (1-5), in their final game of the season, scored on a 60-yard Ken McDonald touchdown pass to Jacob Ives and a 55-yard run by B.J. Bryant.
