RAF LAKENHEATH, England — Lakenheath’s Lady Lancers pounced on Menwith Hill 45-22 Saturday morning to complete a two-game sweep in DODDS Region I girls basketball.

Lakenheath was led by senior Alex Hampton’s 13 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists. Sophomore Erica Turner added eight points while junior Emily Clifton dropped in six for the Lady Lancers.

Every player on the squad got playing time Saturday and the team responded with a balanced attack. All of the players but one scored, according to Lady Lancers coach Janis Ready.

On Friday, Tekeia Wallace scored 13 points to lead Lakenheath (5-2) to a 40-32 victory. She also had 14 rebounds and two blocks.

Desiree Moore led Menwith Hill (0-6) in scoring both days, with nine points Friday and eight on Saturday.
