The resumption of the 2010-2011 season became a continuation weekend for the unbeaten Kaiserslautern Lady Raiders. Victim No. 3 – Lakenheath -- fell in K-town on Friday night, and Victim No. 4—SHAPE – went down on the road on Saturday to leave the Lady Raiders at 4-0 for the season.

All four victories have come against Division I teams the Lady Raiders are likely to face in the European D-I tournament Feb. 23-26 at Mannheim, Germany.

Friday, Kaiserslautern defeated visiting Lakenheath, 40-28, behind eight points each from All-European Cariema Wood, Karah Helm and Medina Gregory. Jennifer Isaacs and Alana Dickerson each added six points for the total. Jada Perry, who snared 10 rebounds and blocked three shots, tallied K-town’s other four points on Friday, according to coach Corey Sullivan.

Saturday in Mons, Belgium, Wood and Gregory each scored 10 points, and Perry added nine, and the Lady Raiders posted a 27-7 second half run to claim a 45-25 victory over the SHAPE Lady Spartans.

SHAPE’s Gina Rhett took game-scoring honors with 11 points, but an 18-18 halftime tie was the high point of the day for the Lady Spartans (2-3 overall). K-town’s defense shut them out for the entire third period.

SHAPE is scheduled to open Region I play by hosting fellow D-I school International School of Brussels on Friday.

K-town is scheduled for an off-week this weekend.
