FORT BENNING, Ga. — Two Europe-based shooters qualified for a national competition, and Patch High School finished fourth out of six Army teams during the Eastern Region JROTC Air Rifle Championships on Saturday and Sunday.

Brenna Goodman of Würzburg, the highest-scoring shooter during DODDS-Europe’s regular season, finished second out of 24 shooters in the individual Army competition. She had a score of 668.5 out of 700 possible points.

Jessica Elledge of Patch finished fifth with 657.7 points.

Both will compete April 12-15 in the National JROTC Air Rifle Championships, also to be held at Fort Benning.

Patch tied for second in the DODDS-Europe tournament, but advanced to the national team competition by winning a separate contest during the regular season. Team members for the eastern regional competition were Chastyn Anglsey, Leah Lynch, Chanel Stevens and Elledge.
