Veronne Clark stroked two triples, a double and two singles and drove in 11 runs Saturday as the Baumholder Lady Bucs swept the visiting SHAPE Lady Spartans 22-2 and 12-10 on opening day for DODDS-Europe softball.

Clark had six RBIs in the opener, according to Lady Bucs coach Kelly Alsup, to help make a winner of starter Shelby Walker.

Amanda Rivera drove in three runs with a triple and two doubles in the opener, and teammate Davanni Uriegas drove in two, Alsup reported.

Walker picked up the victory in the nightcap, too, coming on in relief in the third inning. She retired the side without a run in the final inning after Baumholder rallied from a 10-9 hole.

Tivoni Brundage drove in two runs in the nightcap for the Lady Bucs.

In other high school softball games Saturday:

AFNORTH 6-18, Alconbury 5-11: At Brunssum, Netherlands, the Lady Lions rode a game-winning RBI double by Brittany Miller in the opener and a 10-run fifth in the nightcap to sweep visiting Alconbury.

AFNORTH’s Lauren Anderson went 2-for-2 in each game, Lady Lions’ coach Kevin James said Saturday.

AFNORTH’s Beekah Puente went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer and a double in the nightcap, while winning pitcher Brenda Broadwater was 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two RBIs, James reported.

Patch 21-26, Wiesbaden 5-16: At Wiesbaden, Anne Wasson and Biannca Lopez provided all the muscle Patch needed, according to Wiesbaden coach Candie Lopez-Hamilton.

Wasson ended with a homer and two triples in the twin-killing; Lopez stroked a homer and a triple.
