WIESBADEN, Germany – A resurgent Wiesbaden Warriors football team handed visiting Lakenheath a 29-0 shutout loss on Saturday, improving to 2-0 and doubling its 2012 win total in the process. Wiesbaden, a perennial contender that slumped to a 1-5 season in 2012, countered early resistance from the Lancers’ run defense by flexing the arm and legs of Reymoi Lewis. The quarterback completed 9 of 15 pass attempts for 178 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 45 yards and another score on a 3-yard option run. Lewis’ top target, CJ Pridgeon, hauled in four balls for 76 yards and two scores. Anthony Little caught a 45-yard touchdown. Gumchol Ochoa and Dequan Reed teamed up on a safety to round out the scoring. Ochoa finished with eight tackles and a sack, Reed notched six tackles and Carlos Grinter had two interceptions. Ben Ciero was an iron-man standout for Lakenheath with 57 rushing yards and 10 tackles. Keenan Ricker added five tackles and Justin Menges made four for the Lancers. Wiesbaden visits Vilseck on Sept. 28. Winless Lakenheath will host Vilseck on Oct. 5.
