Farrell had scored Bristol’s first TD, on an 8-yard run, in the first quarter after Vilseck had taken a 13-0 lead, according to Vilseck coach Jim Hall.“When we were up 31-7 at halftime,” Hall said by telephone on Saturday, “I was thinking this game was over. Instead, we got into a track meet.”Defensively, Jermaine Hernandez led Vilseck with 11.5 tackles. Jon Bohnemann added 9.5 stops and two tackles for loss, and Strauss and Elijah Hines were credited with 7.5 stops each. But the most resounding defensive plays, Hall said, came from 250-pound nose tackle Victor Hernandez. Hernandez registered 6.5 tackles, two of them for losses, but ran down two Bristol ball carriers on sweeps and laid them out on the boundary.Next up for Vilseck is a home date Saturday against Patch, with second place on the line. Bristol (2-2) is scheduled to host Kaiserslautern the same day.
