VILSECK. Germany – Daniel Arroyo passed for two touchdowns and ran for a third Saturday to help the Vilseck Falcons remain in a tie for the Division I lead with a 40-12 victory over the Filton Pride.Arroyo threw both of his scoring tosses to Tyler Lewis. The first, which capped a scoring drive on Vilseck’s first possession of the day, covered 17 yards; the second, a 16-yarder set up by a Filton fumble, put Vilseck (3-1) up 22-0 at halftime.Arroyo plunged in from 2 yards out to open the third-period scoring for Vilseck, which ran the ball 30 times for a net gain of 213 yards. Shawn Peebles and Carlton Campbell ran for touchdowns of 5 and 11 yards, respectively.Filton (2-2) trailed 33-0 before getting on the scoreboard twice in the late going. Both Pride TDs resulted from passes by Jordan Crouch to Thomas Campbell.Otherwise, Vilseck’s defense was in complete control, limiting their guests for 131 rushing yards on 26 carries and 56 yards passing on 7-of-14 by Crouch.Next up for Vilseck is a trip to 2-2 Heidelberg; Filton is to entertain Wiesbaden in a must-win game for each of those 2-2 teams. With just two games remaining in the regular season, the three 2-2 teams in D-I are in a virtual musical-chairs battle for the fourth berth in the D-I semifinals.
