SPANGDAHLEM, Germany -- The Spangdahlem Sentinels continued to slap around the DODEA-Europe Division II field on Saturday, adding the visiting Naples Wildcats to their list of gridiron victims in a 42-0 semifinal rout.

The win puts the Sentinels in the Division II title game against the defending champion Rota Admirals, who were brutalized by the juggernaut Sentinels in a 48-6 regular-season rout on Sept. 23. The championship game is set for Nov. 4 at Kaiserslautern High School.

Jimmie Montgomery carried the ball 28 times for 250 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Sentinels, while Chartez Wiley and quarterback Eli Canaan also ran for a pair of scores. Wiley and Iesan Retka headlined the Sentinel defense with nine tackles apiece.

Jackson Blivin threw for 105 yards to pace the Wildcats offensively. Dylan Gire led the Naples defensive resistance with a game-high 11 tackles.

Spangdahlem has been invulnerable all season, blasting every opponent by multiple touchdowns on an irresistible path to the North region’s top seed. The Sentinels, known until this season as the Bitburg Barons, will be playing in the program’s first football championship game since beating Naples for the 2012 Division II crown.

The resurgent Wildcats were undefeated in South region play entering the final weekend of the regular season. But a 21-14 loss to Aviano dropped Naples to the South region’s second seed and forced the team to take the long, ill-fated journey north that spelled the end of its season Saturday.
