BAUMHOLDER, Germany -- As if the rest of DODDS-Europe Division II weren't already on alert, the Ansbach Cougars seem to be improving.

The Cougars produced a season-high point total for the fourth time in as many games Saturday in a 52-0 whipping of the host Baumholder Bucs.

Ansbach's explosive offense has been ratcheting up all season. The Cougars scored 40 points on AFNORTH in their opener and bumped that up to 48 against Naples a week later. They reached the half-century mark two weeks ago in a 50-8 defeat of Bitburg, and on Saturday did that two points better despite a running second-half clock and a scoreless fourth quarter.

Quarterback Bailey Ward threw for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Dorian Jones rushed for a pair of touchdowns.

Roger Brownell gathered 52 yards on just four carries and caught three balls for 49 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Piccinini returned a punt 34 yards for six points. Tyler Benton reached double figures in points with a touchdown and a pair of successful two-point conversions.

The winless Bucs weren't without highlights. Quarterback Kameron Moore completed three passes for 46 yards, while Cade Martinez led the defense with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Ansbach will host Rota with an unbeaten regular season at stake on Saturday. Baumholder's last chance at a win comes Saturday at AFNORTH.
