Boys basketballIsiah Washington, Wiesbaden: The Warriors’ recent flair for the dramatic continued against Stuttgart on Saturday. Washington was the star this time, nailing a buzzer-beating jumper to earn a 56-54 Wiesbaden win.Nathaniel Horton and Lester Jungbluth, Baumholder: The Bucs picked up a sweep of Division III rival Brussels as Horton and Jungbluth led the way. Horton went for 20 and 21 points, respectively, while Jungbluth totaled 14 points and 15 assists on the weekend.DeJhon Williams, Bitburg: The Baron star lit up AFNORTH in one of the more explosive offensive performances of the season last weekend. Williams went for 28 in Friday’s 38-37 win and another 25 in Saturday’s 64-40 rout.

Girls basketballAbby Zipperer, Stuttgart: The Panthers blasted reigning Division I champion Wiesbaden by scores of 45-10 and 49-10, and Zipperer outscored the Warriors by herself in each case. The junior forward scored 13 on Friday and 21 on Saturday.Viyanni Johnson, Aviano: Johnson single-handedly matched or beat the opposing team’s point total in both halves of a sweep of Florence. She scored 14 in Friday’s 44-14 win and 18 in Saturday’s 63-8 win.Byanca Powell, Kaiserslautern: The Raiders continued their late-season push last weekend with a decisive sweep of host Lakenheath. Powell poured in a combined 29 points, including a game-high 18 on Saturday.Cailynn Campbell, Black Forest Academy: The Falcon sharpshooter made five three-pointers as the Falcons nearly pulled off an upset of Division I unbeaten Ramstein on Saturday. Campbell finished with 19 points in the 30-29 loss.

WrestlingNicholas Dufresne, Alconbury: The 195-pound European championship hopeful tuned up for the postseason with a strong effort Saturday. The homestanding grappler was one of three Dragons to claim top weight-class finishes.Shawn McElwee, Aviano: The Saints’ 138-pounder was among the busiest and most successful competitors on the mat Saturday at Vicenza. McElwee won all five of his matches to run away with first place in the class.
