ANSBACH, Germany -- The reigning Division II European champions launched their repeat bid Saturday with a thorough 54-6 quarterfinal rout of the visiting International School of Brussels Raiders.

The second-seeded Cougars will host No. 3 Bitburg next weekend for a berth in the Nov. 7 championship game at Kaiserslautern.

Tyler Benton led the Cougars with 178 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. Quarterback Bailey Ward completed six of 10 pass attempts for 93 yards. All told, five Ansbach players accounted for touchdowns, including Ramon Peguero, Yadi Rodriguez and Dahomey Iglesias as well as Benton and Ward.

Benton also starred defensively with four tackles and a pair of fumble recoveries. Jox Baughman added five tackles and a sack.

Quarterback Len Pick led the ISB resistance with eight completions for 178 yards. Marten Pardo grabbed five receptions for 73 yards. Bryce Motley paced the Raider defense with four tackles.

Undefeated Ansbach has yet to be challenged this fall. Including Saturday's rout, the Cougars have scored at least 46 points in every game and have yet to yield more than 18.

ISB's season concludes with a fourth straight loss.
