The Kaiserslautern Raiders cruised through the United Kingdom over the weekend, recording multiple-goal girls soccer victories over the Lakenheath Lancers and Alconbury Dragons along the way.

The Raiders started their sojourn by crushing Division I rival Lakenheath 10-1 on Friday. Christa Becherer, Kalin Olsen and Bethany Olsen each scored three goals in the onslaught. Saturday brought a visit to reigning Division III champion Alconbury, and the Dragons predictably put up a worthy struggle. But second-half goals by Salas and Olsen converted a scoreless halftime score into a 2-0 Raider win.

The wins were the first of the spring for Kaiserslautern. The Raiders had played just one game, a 1-0 loss to rival Ramstein, entering the weekend.

Baumholder followed a similar path through England with less success.

Alconbury handled the Bucs 4-1 on Friday as Laela Evans scored three goals and assisted on the other. Jasmine Lopez scored a pair of goals Saturday to lead the Lancers to a 4-2 defeat of Baumholder.

Stuttgart 6, Vicenza 0: At Vicenza, DODEA-Europe’s reigning Division I dynasty shined again.

Alexa Smith scored four goals as the Panthers routed the host Cougars. Freshman Victoria Antoine added goal and a pair of assists.

Stuttgart has made its dominance abundantly clear over the last two weekends. The Panthers handled archrival Ramstein 4-1 on April 15, then blasted Naples 8-2 on Saturday in a rematch of last year’s championship match.

Ramstein 5, Hohenfels 0: Saturday at Hohenfels, the visiting Royals easily put away their Division III hosts.

Lakyn Parker and Hannah Floyd scored two goals apiece to lead Ramstein in its first match since its April 15 loss to Stuttgart.

Hohenfels, coming off a 4-0 win over small-school rival Brussels on Friday, resumes its lower-division schedule with matches against Bitburg and Baumholder over the next two weekends.
