NAPLES, Germany -- The Naples Wildcats edged back above .500 in the DODEA-Europe Division II football standings Saturday with a 28-20 defeat of the visiting Spangdahlem Sentinels.

Ashton Jeanty scored all four touchdowns for Naples, teaming with Marcus Arriola for a combined 388 rushing yards. Kellan Clark made an interception for the Wildcats, bringing his season total to five.

Deon Montgomery ran 27 times for 181 yards, while Javian Rouse gathered 179 yards on 19 carries.

Naples improved to 2-1 on the season, successfully bouncing back from a narrow 14-13 defeat against rival Vicenza last weekend. The Wildcats are idle for the next two weeks, including a bye on Sept. 29 and DODEA-Europe’s scheduled weekend off Oct. 6. They’ll return to action with a home game against Rota on Oct. 13.

Spangdahlem, the division’s weakened defending champion, dropped to 0-2 on the year entering next weekend’s visit from SHAPE.
