BRUNNSUM, Netherlands -- The AFNORTH Lions knocked Hohenfels from the ranks of the unbeaten in DODEA-Europe Division III football Saturday with a 36-20 defeat of the visiting Tigers.

Anthony McLean piled up 233 yards and three touchdowns to pace the Lions, while quarterback David Immel diversified the AFNORTH attack with 121 passing yards. The Lion defense forced four turnovers to keep Hohenfels off-balance throughout.

The outcome drops Hohenfels into a second-place tie with idle Baumholder at 2-1 on the season, while AFNORTH pulls even at 2-2 on the year.

Both teams will be looking at key games coming out of next weekend's league-wide hiatus. AFNORTH gets a shot at frontrunning Spangdahlem, now the only undefeated team in the division, on Oct. 12, while Hohenfels takes on defending champion Ansbach.
