BRUNSSUM, Netherlands – International School of Brussels snapped a two-game football losing streak and improved its postseason chances Saturday with a 46-0 rout of host AFNORTH. The Raider backfield piled up yardage and scores. Pearce Keesling carried 12 times for 146 yards, Fernando Torrijos took five carries 119 yards and John Kontos gathered 97 yards on 11 carries, with each of the three scoring a touchdown. Quarterback Marshall Kontos was just as prolific via air, completing five of eight passes for 126 yards and three touchdowns. Stefan Anderson collected two of those touchdowns for 102 combined yards. ISB moves back to .500 with the win, its first since beating Rota on Sept. 14. The Raiders are battling with Alconbury for the fourth and final playoff spot allotted the Division II North region; the two teams will play Oct. 12 to close out the regular season. AFNORTH remains winless and is eliminated from postseason contention.
