HOHENFELS, Germany – J.J. Calhoun led a trio of double-digits scorers Saturday as the Hohenfels Tigers completed a Region III sweep of the Ansbach Cougars with a 65-44 victory.Calhoun, who also found time to hand out five assists, took game-scoring honors with 17 points. His teammate Leon Atkins added 15 and All-Europe guard Jamie Tompkins contributed 14 points to the cause for Hohenfels (7-5 overall, 5-5 in Region III). Atkins, Tompkins and Chris Sanchez each grabbed six rebounds to lead Hohenfels, which defeated Ansbach, 64-40, on Friday behind 26 points from Tompkins and 11 points and 14 rebounds from Sanchez. The Tigers, scheduled to be idle this weekend, are to play Bamberg on Feb. 18-19 in the regular-season finale for both teams. Bamberg and Hohenfels then move on to the European Division II tournament Feb. 23-26 at Mannheim.Ansbach (1-8, 0-7) also put three players into double figures on Saturday. Derrick Flake scored 13 points, Xavier Jones 11 and Darius Flake 10. Jones, who scored a team-high 15 points on Friday, took game-rebounding honors Saturday with 11.Ansbach is next scheduled against Vilseck of Division I. The Cougars are scheduled to travel to Vilseck on Friday and host the Falcons on Saturday.
