WIESBADEN, Germany -- The Wiesbaden Warriors operated at peak offensive efficiency Saturday, overwhelming the visiting Vilseck Falcons 42-14 to win their DODEA-Europe Division I football conference opener.

Austin Deckinga amassed 243 yards and four touchdowns on just 13 carries to lead the Warrior attack. Nico Giandalia ran for a touchdown and caught another one from quarterback Sam Houston, while Reyder Rivera collected 92 rushing yards on seven carries.

Giandalia paced the Warrior defense with nine tackles, while Jaden Dubose and Zion Shaw each grabbed an interception.

Vilseck got on the board behind a Shaun Boles touchdown pass to Matt Gardner and a 25-yard touchdown run by Caleb Deboltz.

The win represents a strong conference start for the Warriors, who lost their non-conference opener to Kaiserslautern a week prior. A former title-game mainstay, Wiesbaden has hopes of returning to the postseason after missing the playoffs a year ago. The Warriors visit defending champion Ramstein on Friday.
