BITBURG AIR BASE, Germany – The Bitburg Lady Barons rallied from nine runs down in Game 1 Saturday to defeat Alconbury, 15-11, and make a winner of pitcher Alicia Dorado, then worked over the Lady Dragons’ pitching staff, 25-7, in the nightcap of a Western Region softball doubleheader.Dorado, backed offensively by Brandy Oliver’s 3-for 4 effort that included a double, struck out six in Game 2.Erin Schwartz fueled the rally in the opener with a 3-for-3 game, according to Bitburg coach Daniel Vasquez.Bitburg is 4-0 going into spring break. Next up for the Lady Barons is an April 23 doubleheader at Kaiserslautern.Alconbury, which was coming off a Friday split at Baumholder, fell to 1-5. The Lady Dragons are next scheduled to host Rota on April 30.
