BRUSSELS -- Ansbach is at it again.

The two-time defending champion Cougars pummeled host AFNORTH/Brussels 54-0 on Saturday, the program’s 17th consecutive DODEA-Europe win including regular-season and postseason games.

Details and statistics from the game were not available early Saturday evening.

Ansbach, despite a shrinking school population and the exit of stalwart head coach Marcus George, is a heavy favorite to win the DODEA-Europe Division II South region and pursue a third straight championship this fall. The Cougars continue that pursuit next weekend in their home opener against Naples.

The merger of AFNORTH and Brussels, meanwhile, has produced just one win in six tries since its 2015 launch. The squad will try again Saturday against Baumholder; AFNORTH/Brussels notched its only win to date against the Bucs last October.
