The inaugural regular season of six-man DODEA-Europe Division III football ended this weekend with the league’s two finalists recording dominant victories.

The AFNORTH Lions routed the host Brussels Brigands 67-16 on Saturday, vanquishing the school with which they once shared a Division II partnership. AFNORTH swept the season series with the Brigands, including a 51-14 win Sept. 14.

Keoni Gallman produced 188 rushing yards and six touchdowns for the Lions, while Cole Birdsell threw for two touchdowns and ran for another.

The Ansbach Cougars, meanwhile, completed an undefeated regular season with a 48-0 win over the Hohenfels Tigers.

Ansbach and AFNORTH will face off for the title Nov. 3 at Kaiserslautern High School. The Cougars, a former Division II powerhouse that went dormant when it couldn’t field an 11-man team in 2017, beat the Lions 75-46 on Sept. 29.
