RAF LAKENHEATH, England – Calvin Baisden, who last year was helping Mannheim reach the European Division II championship game, ran for one touchdown and hauled in two scoring passes from All-European Kevin Gray to fuel the defending European D-I champion Heidelberg Lions to a 30-6 Division I victory Saturday over the Lakenheath Lancers.Baisden’s grabs – he finished with four which netted 93 yards – were two thirds of Gray’s aerial scoring on Saturday. Gray, who completed eight-of-nine passes for 210 yards, also found Alex Weaver for another TD.Baisden led all rushers with 91 yards on just eight carries, according to Lakenheath coach Matt Martinez.Heidelberg, which next is to play Saturday at Ramstein, improved to 2-1 overall and in the league.Lakenheath, which got its TD on a second-quarter run by Austin Morrow, fell to 1-2 and next hosts Patch on Saturday. Morrow, who accumulated 34 return yards, finished with 31 yards on 10 carries. Xavier Thompson led both categories for Lakenheath – 21 rushes which netted 63 yards and 52 return yards.
