ALCONBURY United Kingdom -- The reigning Division II champions will get the chance to defend that title.

The Ansbach Cougars clinched a berth in the DODDS-Europe Division II playoffs Saturday with a 46-6 blowout of the host Alconbury Dragons.

Even as Ansbach's roster shrinks, its collection of offensive playmakers seems to remain consistent. Saturday's stars included quarterback Bailey Ward, who completed four passes on five attempts for 97 yards and a touchdown, and running backs Tyler Benton (144 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries) and Ramon Peguero (103 yards and a touchdown on seven carries).

Yadiel Rodriguez led the Cougars with six tackles, while Benton added four.

Adarius Gallon led the Alconbury resistance on both sides of the ball. The Dragon standout carried 12 times for 76 yards while scoring the home team's only touchdown and tying teammate Ben High with a game-high 10 tackles.
