BRUNSSUM, Netherlands -- The AFNORTH Lions shook off a scoreless first half to best the Baumholder Bucs 13-12 on Saturday, earning their first win of the season on their final opportunity.
Mike Graves spearheaded the Lions' efforts on both sides of the football. He ran for 118 second-half yards and a touchdown and made 19 tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery on the game. Teammate Claudius Karich pitched in with 11 tackles and two sacks.
Baumholder was halfway to registering its first win of the season with a 6-0 halftime lead before falling victim to the comeback. Anthony Amos and Denoris Buchanan scored for the Bucs.
The game ends each team's season; neither will advance to the DODDS-Europe Division II playoffs.
