BRUNSSUM, Netherlands -- The AFNORTH Lions shook off their only loss of the DODEA-Europe Division III football season Saturday with a thorough 64-13 defeat of the Baumholder Bucs.

Keoni Gallman produced 287 yards and five touchdowns in the first half to put the Lions up early. The AFNORTH defense forced seven turnovers to keep Baumholder from mounting a comeback.

The AFNORTH win comes a week after the team suffered its first setback of the season, 75-46 shootout loss to the unbeaten Ansbach Cougars, and keeps it in line for a spot in the inaugural DODEA-Europe six-man football championship game. The Lions are idle next weekend, then face Brussels on Oct. 26 in a regular-season finale that will may carry profound playoff implications.

Winless Baumholder hosts first-place Ansbach next weekend to wrap up its season.
