Disappointed by its first loss of the season on Tuesday, the SHAPE Spartans boys soccer team took its frustration out on Bitburg on Friday.

Santiago Gamboa scored three goals, Adrian Domijan scored twice and Kacper Tuzser, Jared Ferguson and Garrett Watson added a goal apiece in an 8-1 victory.

The Spartans recovered capably from their first loss of the season, a 3-0 setback against defending Division I champion ISB. They finish their regular season at 5-1-2.

AFNORTH 5, Bitburg 1: Saturday at Bitburg, the visiting Lions completed an unbeaten regular season with a comeback victory.

Bitburg’s Damian Gatterburg scored the first half’s only goal, but the Baron lead proved fleeting. Eren Yabici scored three of AFNORTH’s five second-half goals and River Shank notched two assists as the Lions pulled ahead and away.

Black Forest Academy 1, Kaiserslautern 1: Saturday at Kandern, Germany, a 1-1 halftime tie held up throughout the second half in a hard-fought defensive struggle.

Kaiserslautern’s Stephen Adjei and BFA’s Ian Andres traded unassisted goals for the final margin.

Heidelberg 6, Vilseck 1: Saturday at Vilseck, the Lions offered one last regular-season roar in a mauling of the host Falcons.

Trevor Carr scored two goals and Vincent Harrington recorded a goal and an assist as Heidelberg completed an undefeated regular season that will go down as the program’s final campaign.
