Europe sports briefs: USAREUR champ Hallauer wins Heidelberg Open
Three days after romping to his third straight Army Europe championship, Jeff Hallauer of Darmstadt won the 54-hole Heidelberg Open golf tournament Sunday by one stroke over Tim Schreiber of St. Leon Rot.
Hallauer posted a three-day total of 2-over 218 in the annual event on his home course. The event attracted 144 golfers.
Grafenwöhr hosting active-duty boxersActive-duty boxers of all experience levels are invited to test their skills in Grafenwöhr on Aug. 12, according to community recreation director Tony Lee. Individual and team awards will be presented. Rosters are due by Aug. 10, with weigh-ins and physicals from 9-11 a.m. on the day of the bouts, which begin at 7 p.m.

USFE shotgun titles on line in KaiserslauternThe Kaiserslautern Rod and Gun Club will host the U.S. Forces Europe Shotgun Championships on Aug. 12.
Three events are scheduled — parcour, requiring participants to shoot five clay pigeons at each of five stations; trap, five stations of 25 shots from 16 meters and a regulation skeet event. Competition begins at 9 a.m.
