All-Europe pitcher Ashley Kazimer picked up two victories Saturday as Bitburg swept Patch 10-3 and 21-5 in a high school softball doubleheader at Bitburg.

Kazimer struck out 10 in the opener, outdueling the Lady Panthers’ All-Europe pitching duo of Lauren Sanchez and Kasy’e Lalau. She tossed a two-hitter in the nightcap, and was 5-for-8 at the plate for the day with eight RBIs.

Back-to-back seven-run innings broke the second game open. Junior catcher Chelsea Boyer homered in the nightcap, and Gabrielle Ussery and Emily Long each drove in three runs.

Bitburg is 5-1 overall and 2-0 in Division II; Patch is 3-3, 2-2.

Rota 10, Alconbury 9At Alconbury, England, Natascha Carlucci drove in the winning run in the sixth inning Friday to overcome a 15-strikeout performance by Alconbury’s Megan Archer in wind and rain. Carlucci also had three RBIs for Rota.

Rota 15-10, London Central 10-12At High Wycombe, England, on Saturday Melissa Dillon picked up the pitching victory in the second game and salvaged a split for London Central.

Dillon was 5-for-7 at the plate in the two games. Teammate Micana Gallaway went 4-for-4 in the nightcap.

Heidelberg 18-13, Kaiserslautern 14-4At Heidelberg, Gabriella Alexander drove in three runs and picked up the victory in relief in the opener, in which the Division I teams issued a combined 29 walks.

Jessica Anderson and Emma Ely each drove in two runs in the opener for Heidelberg. Emily Badstibner went 4-for-4 for K-town (2-4 overall, 0-4 in Division I).

In the nightcap, Briann Joyner struck out eight K-town batters and held the Lady Raiders to five hits. Brittany Bailey went 2-for-2 with three RBI for Heidelberg (4-2 overall, 3-1 in Div. I).

Ramstein 13-17, Würzburg 1-3At Würzburg, Lindsey Dunn pitched both victories, striking out five in the opener and six in the nightcap.

Alexis Brokaw went 7-for-8 for the day for defending Division I champion Ramstein (4-2 overall, 4-0 in Div. I).

Amanda Ventura homered and drove in two runs in the second game for Würzburg (0-6, 0-6).

Wiesbaden 21-33, Mannheim 5-0At Darmstadt, Jessica Smith pitched Division I Wiesbaden to two victories over the Lady Bison of Division II. Both games were ended by the courtesy rules after three innings.

Smith (4-for-4), Elisha Nieves (5-for-5) and Casey Siebers (3-for-3) homered in the first game. Nieves also doubled.

In the nightcap, Nieves homered twice in her second straight 5-for-5 performance, driving in nine runs. Monique Hall (4-for-4) also homered for Wiesbaden (5-1). Kayla Branham had her second straight 4-for-4 outing in a game in which Smith threw only 33 pitches, striking out seven and walking one.

Bryttni Feibakitau took both losses for Mannheim (2-4).

Baumholder 27-22, Hanau 0-8At Hanau, the Lady Bucs of Division III took two from their Division II hosts.

In the opener, Sherena Cabrera had four RBIs and Anjelica Harvey three. In the second contest, Jasmine Velequez struck out seven of the first 11 batters she faced to get Baumholder off to a strong start.

Baumholder is 3-3 overall; Hanau 0-4.
