Aaron Jones ran for two touchdowns and caught one of Joe York’s two TD passes Saturday as Ramstein (2-0 overall, 1-0 in D-I) downed visiting Wiesbaden 27-7 in the Division I conference opener for both teams.

Jones, who finished with 77 yards on seven carries, scored on runs of 39 and 15 yards during the Royals’ 20-0 first quarter. York hooked up with Ste’phan James for a 33-yard scoring pass following a Wiesbaden fumble on the game’s opening kickoff.

York, who finished 8-for-13 for 163 yards, completed the Ramstein scoring in the fourth quarter with a 36-yard TD pass to Jones down the right sideline. Jones caught five passes for 98 yards.

With Wiesbaden trailing 27-0, Ron Peebles who finished with 44 yards on six carries, returned a kickoff to the Ramstein 26, then completed the journey to the end zone on the next play from scrimmage.

Julian James led Wiesbaden (0-2, 0-1) with 62 yards on 18 rushes.

In Saturday’s other Division I games:

Heidelberg 18, Kaiserslautern 0: At Kaiserslautuern, Matt Darling threw two touchdown passes as the defending European Division I champion evened its overall mark at 1-1 and matched Ramstein at 1-0 in the league race.

Coty Millette rushed for 189 yards for Heidelberg, which got four sacks and 12 tackles from Justin Anderson and 10 stops from Bhalo Thompson.

Khairi Smith carried nine times for 77 yards for Kaiserslautern (1-1, 0-1). C.J. McKenzie led Kaiserslautern with 11 stops; Marcus Velazquez added nine.

Patch 20, Lakenheath 9: At RAF Lakenheath, England, Bryon Taylor ran for 87 yards and a touchdown, and Diego Cruz returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown as the Panthers won their first D-I conference game.

Mike Dickson had two fumble recoveries for Patch (2-0, 1-0), which got two sacks from Matt Gordy. Daniel Kennedy added 67 rushing yards on eight carries.

Wes Klenick carried 19 times for 86 yards and scored a TD for Lakenheath (1-1, 0-1).
