The SHAPE Spartans stayed unbeaten overall and in Division II-North with a 3-0 home victory Saturday over Mannheim.

“The score does not tell the story,” SHAPE coach Tony Blasio said in an e-mail. He called the contest “a relatively even, hard-fought game.”

Goalkeeper Phillip Border made five saves for SHAPE (3-0-1 overall and 2-0-1 in Division II-North), but Blasio said Claudio Citta and Ole Olsen also deserved credit for the shutout.

“Matt Benoit of Mannheim (0-3-1, 0-2-1) also played a fantastic game,” he said.
