BRUSSELS, Belgium - Brussels American School's 8-0 halftime lead evaporated against the Brussels Bulls, a Belgian club team, as the Brigands lost their season opener 18-8 on Saturday.

The Brigands, who open nine-man Division III play next weekend at Rota, posted a safety on an errant punt snap and rode Vincent Alonzo’s 42-yard TD run to go up 8-0 at intermission.

But the Bulls took the lead on a six-play, 24-yard drive set up by a fumble recovery, according to Brussels coach Tim Mobley. The Bulls tacked on an insurance TD in the fourth quarter, Mobley said.
