IWAKUNI MARINE CORPS AIR STATION, Japan — A Marine Corps Headquarters team will visit in mid-October to develop plans for a new bowling center.

Three focus groups are planned Oct. 16 to gauge community input, Marine Corps Community Services Marketing Director Doriann Geller said Friday. Base residents are invited to participate.

The groups will meet in party rooms A and B of Club Iwakuni. Seating is limited to 14 people per session.

The group comprising civilians will meet from 8-8:30 a.m. Officers and enlisted personnel focus groups meet from 8:30-9 a.m. and 9-9:30 a.m., respectively.

Emergency personnel to host soccer tournament

CAMP RED CLOUD, South Korea — Fire and Emergency Services workers will host a “Bravo shift” soccer tournament at the off-post Uijeongbu Stadium. The games start Oct. 22 at 10 a.m.

The matches will pit firefighters and emergency personnel from all Bravo shifts of the Camp Red Cloud, Camp Page, Camp Casey, Western Corridor and Yongsan areas. There will be a total of approximately 100 people competing, officials said.
