BelgiumIt’s Museum Night Fever in Brussels on Saturday when 19 of the capital’s museums and more than 500 of its young people get together from 6 p.m. to midnight. Concerts, performances, games, tours and fashion shows are just some of the activities planned. Afterward, the energy continues with a party at the Bozar Centre of Fine Arts. Ride for free on shuttle buses running between the museums.

SpainThe Jerez Festival in Jerez de la Frontera runs Friday through March 12, celebrating the improvised dance and guitar music of flamenco. Top names in the art will perform and present workshops. There will be cante (song) recitals, concerts and the opportunity to meet maestros.

GermanyBerlin celebrates the carnival season Sunday with a grand procession on the capital’s streets, a week ahead of other cities to allow partiers to join both its celebrations and those in their own cities. This year’s theme is Die Welt ist rund — Berlin ist bunt (“The world is round — Berlin is multicolored”).

The procession takes off at 11:44 a.m. from Hardenbergstrasse and ends on Nürnberger Strasse with after-parade parties continuing the fun. The Berlin Tourist Board’s website is www.visitberlin.de/en.
