STEEREBEEK, Belgium – All-conference quarterback Schuyler Backlar ran for three touchdowns, passed for two more and returned a kickoff 65 yards for a sixth TD Saturday to lift the Menwith Hill Mustangs to a 62-22 Division III victory over the Brussels Brigands.

According to Brussels coach Tim Mobley, the winless Brigands trailed just 28-14 at halftime in this nine-man game, but were undone by four second-half turnovers, one of them a fumble returned 65 yards by T.J. Busano for a Menwith Hill touchdown.

Menwith Hilll, which heads to Rota for a Saturday game, improved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the league.

Brussels, which is scheduled to travel to unbeaten Bamberg on Saturday, fell to 0-4, 0-3 despite 111 rushing yards by Zack Jackson and 109 yards on the ground racked up by Dakota Deverill.
