RAF ALCONBURY, England — Aviano’s men and Ramstein’s women finished 10-0 in pool play Saturday to earn berths in Sunday’s championship games of the USAFE volleyball championships. Aviano turned back Incirlik 25-23, 25-19; Ramstein’s Lady Rams defeated Spangdahlem 25-6, 25-10.

At press time Saturday, each team’s opponent in the title games Sunday were undetermined. Mildenhall’s women and Aviano were faced with a best-of-three playoff to determine second place in the standings after each finished the round-robin 6-4. Aviano swept Incirlik 25-16, 25-10, while Mildenhall split with Lakenheath 16-25, 26-24.

The men’s runners-up, Ramstein and Spangdahlem, also finished 6-4 to set up a best-of-three playoff after splitting Saturday’s final games. Ramstein beat Spangdahlem 25-20 only to see the Sabers rally to win the second game 25-15.
