AVIANO, Italy — Donning their helmets, 18 Aviano High School football players hit the field Thursday for their first full day of practice.
The squad surrounded the coach under the goal post before taking part in drills. More players are expected to turn up in the coming days.
Among the 18 were a few members of last year’s team, including senior Jake Ellis, junior Ryan Perran, sophomores Germaine Seisa, Manny Gamboa and Daniel Dinges.
The DODDS-Europe regular season kicks off Sept. 7.
