Air Force football will pay tribute to B-21 Raider in annual clash with Navy

The Air Force Falcons will showcase the future of American airpower when they host Navy in their annual clash on Oct. 3.

Air Force’s 10th Air Power Legacy Series alternate uniform will pay tribute to the B-21 Raider, the sixth-generation stealth bomber, now in the test phase, that is intended to eventually replace the B-1 Lancer and B-2 Spirit in the Air Force inventory.

“The uniform draws from the bomber’s distinctive shape, stealth and advanced technology, with Air Force aviation details woven throughout the design,” Northrop Grumman, the primary contractor building the B-21, said in a statement. “The B-21 design will also be featured on merchandise and around Falcon Stadium.”

The Air Power Legacy Series began in the 2016 season, and the Falcons focused on a different aircraft each year, including the F-35, the B-52 Stratofortress and, in 2025, the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

The game against Navy will be at Falcon Stadium. Air Force opens its season Sept. 5 at home against Duquesne. The Falcons’ game against Army will be at West Point, N.Y., on Nov. 7.
