Seriously? Almost the entire front page and back page devoted to a pathetic, adulterous sports figure (“‘I am deeply sorry,’ ” Feb. 20)?
Excuse my sarcasm, but somehow there might have been a few other articles in the paper, such as the tiny bit at the bottom of the front page about Taliban suspects, that are actually important world news!
Surely I’m not your only reader who is in total disbelief that the decision was made to allow the paper to appear to be a tabloid cover.
I don’t doubt in the least that there are people who couldn’t wait to find out what Tiger Woods had to say. But there is no way in this world that that was the top, most important news story of the day.
As for the back page, the Olympic highlights and the accomplishments of those athletes also far outweigh the excuses Tiger made for cheating on his wife and family.
Terribly disappointed.
