I am writing in response to the July 30 article "Reservist drags Army into Obama conspiracy theory."

As an 18-year veteran of the Marine Corps, having served directly (White House Military Office) for two presidents (Bill Clinton and George W. Bush), in Iraq, Afghanistan and also as a recruiter, I find it incomprehensible as to why this commissioned officer in the Army Reserve is standing there in uniform "stinking up" what’s left of the Army’s already fragile reputation. While the Army is struggling to fight two wars, an increasing suicide rate and a host of other issues, this major has nothing better to do than challenge the commander in chief’s citizenship and dodge deployments, instead of picking up a weapon and joining the fight.
