Some weak defenses?
Stars and Stripes
February 17, 2010
The heterosexual male writer of "An unfair comparison" (letter, Feb. 10) defends the "don’t ask, don’t tell" policy and insists that "you can change your sexual orientation."
Whenever I read something like this, I feel awestruck by how many heterosexuals can remain steadfast in their own orientation with nothing more to defend themselves than a book and a policy.
Kudos, as it sounds like quite the battle to maintain a grip on their preference.
