Regarding the cover photo for the 2010 edition of Heroes: The next time a cover like this is done, would you please ensure that all individuals being photographed are not chewing smokeless tobacco? This is unattractive, unprofessional, unhealthy and does not present a military image, regardless of whether the individual is a hero. I do not know if others noticed this, but it was this first thing I saw when I got my base paper.
I am prior active-duty, a reservist and a family member, and there are a few other things out of place with that individual — but the most offensive is the plug of chew in the front corner of his bottom lip.
I thank you in advance for your attention to detail.
