After reading "Acts of terror? Austin attack prompts debate over terror label" (article, Feb. 22) I can’t help but shake my head at these officials.

Somebody flew a plane into a government building, in a suicidal manner, with the intent of killing indiscriminately, with political motivations, and you’re telling me that it’s not a terrorist act? Come on. Really?

If this man’s name was Muhammad instead of Joe, it would be a different story, and the very idea that this man is not a terrorist would be laughable.

We are in serious trouble if somebody can fly a plane into a building with the intention of making a violent political statement, and the Department of Homeland Security sees no reason to call it terrorism.
